About this game

The assessment: show 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 objects, without help. The full result appears at the end.

Count objects up to 5: the family assessment

This game closes the family of numbers up to five. Counting objects up to 5 means knowing how to say how many there are, then showing it. This time, the numbers from 1 to 5 are mixed up. So the child cannot guess the answer from the previous question. They really have to look at each picture.

The round has five questions. A voice reads the instruction, for example: “Choose the picture that shows 4.” The objects are already familiar: erasers, blocks, dolls, butterflies, fish. During the game, the child gets no help. Then, at the end, a full result appears, question by question.

Read this result with your child. If they mix up four and five, go back to the whole hand. For example, put down five blocks, then take one away. Next, ask them to count objects up to 5 by touching them. And if they get everything right, they can move on to “one more” and “one fewer”.

The game is for preschoolers aged 4 to 6. It is free online, on a computer, tablet or phone.

Tip for the assessment up to 5

Listen carefully to the number the voice says. Then show this number with your fingers. Next, look at each picture. Count the objects by touching them, only once. Do you find as many objects as raised fingers? Then choose this picture! Here, nobody helps you during the game. But at the end, you will see all your answers.
