About this game

Start from a day of the week and find what day it will be tomorrow, out of the seven days.

Days of the week: finding tomorrow in the first year of primary school

At ages 6 to 7, children learn to find their way in time. Knowing the days of the week in order is a first step. Finding tomorrow is the next one: you start from today and move forward one day. And after Sunday, the week starts again with Monday.

The game says, for example: “Today is Monday. What day will it be tomorrow?” Then three days appear. Your child chooses the day after. A short lesson comes first, with the seven days in order. Then a sentence explains each answer: “After Monday comes Tuesday.” A round has seven questions, read aloud.

The hint suggests saying the days of the week in order. This way, the child hears which day comes next. If they hesitate, recite the days together on your fingers, from Monday to Sunday.

At home, hang up a weekly calendar and ask each evening: “What day will it be tomorrow?” What’s more, a sung list of the days of the week helps a lot. The game is for the first year of primary school, ages 6 to 7. It is free on a computer, tablet or phone.

Tip for finding tomorrow in the days of the week

Say the days of the week in order: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Stop on today. Tomorrow is the day after: the next one you say. And after Sunday? The week starts again: tomorrow will be Monday!
