Today is Tuesday: what day was it yesterday? The right answer appears after each question.
Finding tomorrow means moving forward one day. Finding yesterday means going back one day. It is often harder, because you have to recite the days backwards in your head. And before Monday? It was Sunday: the week goes round and round. Children practice this at ages 6 to 7.
The game says, for example: “Today is Tuesday. What day was it yesterday?” Then three days appear. Your child chooses the day before. They have a single try per question. Then the game shows the right answer straight away, with a sentence: “Before Tuesday comes Monday.” A round has eight questions, read aloud.
The hint suggests saying the days of the week in order, then going back one step. If your child makes a mistake, recite the week together and stop just before today.
At home, ask each morning: “What day was it yesterday? What did we do?” This way, the word yesterday is linked to real memories. The game is for the first year of primary school, ages 6 to 7. It is free on a computer, tablet or phone.
Say the days of the week in order and stop on today. Yesterday is the day before: the one you said just before. For example, before Friday comes Thursday. And before Monday? Go back to the end of the week: yesterday was Sunday!
