Every kind of measurement needs its own tool, and children learn measuring tools best by sorting real ones. This 3rd grade choosing the correct measuring tool worksheet has four tasks, labelled a to d. Each task shows four colour pictures of tools, and your child ticks the one that fits the job. In task a, they measure the length of a pencil. In task b, they measure baking powder for a cake. Task c asks about the temperature of a room, and task d asks about the weight of apples in a store. The wrong choices are real tools too, such as a timer, a beaker or a measuring tape. As a result, your child has to think about what each tool measures. Page two is the answer key, with a red tick on each right answer.
