3rd Grade Multiplication by 6 Worksheet: 12 Facts from 1 × 6 to 12 × 6

The 6 times table is where many children start to slow down. This 3rd grade multiplication by 6 worksheet keeps the page calm. It has 12 facts, from 1 × 6 to 12 × 6, in two columns with plenty of space. Two girls frame the grid: one climbs at the top, one walks at the bottom. The facts come in a mixed order, so children cannot just count up. A second page gives the answer key.

Five groups and one more

6 × 7 is the same as 5 × 7 plus one more 7. Your child already knows 35, so the answer is 35 + 7 = 42.

Five groups and one more works for every fact on the page. Multiplying by 6 becomes a 5s fact with one extra group on top.

At the table: an even pattern

When 6 meets an even number, the answer ends in that same digit: 6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 6 = 36, 6 × 8 = 48. Children love finding this.

Items a and b, 11 × 6 and 12 × 6, go a bit past the usual times table. Split them: 10 × 6 is 60, then add 6 or 12.

After the page: egg boxes

Egg boxes hold 6, and so do many juice packs. Ask how many eggs fill 3 boxes, then 4.

Go back over any slow fact in column multiplication the next day. Check the answer key together, and circle the facts that still take time.
